OUR REGATHERING AT MVC Working Together to Stay Healthy

Our desire to get back together, in a physical way, has been the longing of so many of us. We want to make this happen as quickly and effectively as possible so we can give everyone who plans to return right away a good but safe experience. Near the end of May, the Governor lifted the restrictions for churches limiting them to ten people and gave guidelines for houses of worship. These are only guidelines and not law or mandates. We believe there is much wisdom in these guidelines and used them as a starting point for a plan to reopen. We believe this plan is in the best interest of our people, for their spiritual, physical, as well as emotional health.

Let's regather!

What are we doing?

  • We will be offering TWO services
  • 9:30AM service: masks will be required throughout the entire morning

  • Our children’s wing will be opened during our first service

What can you do?

  • If you don’t feel well or have health concerns, please stay home and join us online!

  • Partner with us in serving at one of our services!

Frequently Asked Questions

In order to create a spacious environment, we will have limited seating with adequate spacing in our viewing locations. We ask that you make sure there are chairs spaced between you and other guests. Please be sure to review our gathering locations and special options we have available for specific groups so you will know where to park and enter beforehand. If you are not sure, or have questions, we will have greeters at each entrance to help direct you and your family to your venue! Please remember that our special venues are not mandatory, but optional for those specific people. Our outdoor signage will allow you to see what doors you should enter through!
In an effort to reduce the risk of exposure, the children’s wing will be observing some changes to normal operations through the Holidays. Families wishing to attend with their children still have two great options. A “Family Room” space will be provided for families to experience the service together on campus. Parents wishing to attend the service can also share in our family child care by joining our child care rotation. If you have further questions about these options you can email  kara.joyce@mvcstaff.email or see one of our MVKiDS team members before the service.

You will see a generosity collection box in each gathering room if you choose to bring your offering with you. You can also participate in our giving time by visiting our website at morainevalleychurch.org and selecting the “giving” tab. We offer text to give as well. You can text “MVC” with $ amount to 732- 56. If this is your first time texting to give, you will be asked to quickly complete a one time set-up form. You can also mail your check to:
Moraine Valley Church
6300 W 127th Street,
Palos Heights, IL 60463.
We are strongly discouraging anyone who has been sick or experiencing symptoms of sickness from attending a physical gathering until it’s safe for them to do so. We have made our service time to be entirely “contact-free” from start to finish. We are requiring everyone to wear masks, and cleaning bathrooms throughout the morning. Water fountains will not be in use and our common grounds will not be opened.

We've been waiting to see you

Worship Center

101/102 is reserved for elderly and physically disabled for ease of access

This creates an easy point of access for you as well as a place for elderly who may not feel safe being with larger groups.

Worship Center

We will be able to house 200 people in our Worship Center. NOTE- The Gym venue is designated specifically for those who want to come, may not fit in the designated categories but also don’t feel comfortable with the masses, but it is also an overflow in the case that the Worship Center fills up.

Children’s Wing

In an effort to reduce the risk of exposure, the children’s wing will be observing some changes to normal operations through the Holidays. Families wishing to attend with their children still have two great options. A “Family Room” space will be provided for families to experience the service together on campus.
